There are so many reasons to cook at home and yet, it is alarming to note that urban dwellers are not having much of it. Studies have revealed that having home-cooked meals as a family regularly leads to healthier and happier beings, especially the kids. A close-knitted family through daily get together meals would also most likely to have grown up children who are less likely to abuse alcohol, drugs and smoking in their teenage years.

Below are some of the reasons why you should have home-cooked food at the comfort of your home;

1) This is pretty straightforward; Healthier! Outside foods are mainly sold for commercial reasons and you can expect MSG and all sorts of unhealthy condiments going into your food to make it tasty!

2) Communal meals; humans are by and large social animals and social interactions help keep us sane and having a sense of belonging. These have long term benefits such as good mental health, leading to a confident YOU and of course, a longer lifespan!

3) Reduce expenditure; this definitely makes lots of sense. Home-cooked food ingredients can be purchased off the shelves of most supermarkets and grocery stores. All these definitely come cheaper than having outside meals!

Now, the 1st two reasons above are good enough for you to kickstart this ‘home-cooked food’ immediately. But how about the 3rd? This comes a bit tricky for urban-dwellers in cities all around the world. The pros and cons between healthier food choices vs savings and time is a very tricky balance for most.

The good news is that food caterers had long taken notice of this ‘balancing act’ and have come up solutions for city dwellers, like you and me!

In Singapore, caterers such as Le Xin Catering has offered tingkat delivery to homes all over Singapore. They even offer tingkat delivery to condo and they have one of the best catering tingkat menu in the city as well. Besides being known for the cheapest tingkat in Singapore, they guarantee their tingkat Singapore no msg as a healthier choice of food in order to be a reputable tingkat catering service provider.

To add, home-cooked meals also benefit the environment greatly by reducing waste and thus, reducing our carbon footprint. Home cooking also allows us to choose component ingredients over processed meals, which in turn cuts down on packaging.
